Important Membership Updates!
From the Spring 2025 semester on, AED will now be requiring all general members to complete two scholarship credits. All other general member requirements will remain the same. With a variety of events and opportunities available, we hope that this new requirement aims will enhance member engagement and support the continued growth and success of the organization. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out to the Executive Board!

Our general meetings this semester will be from 7:30-8:30pm on 9/17, 10/1, 10/15, 10/29, 11/12, & 12/3! Go ahead and plan on putting those on your calendar so you can meet the GM requirement.

Come out and earn a scholarship credit at our information session with the University of Michigan School of Dentistry! Learn more about the dental school application process, application tips and get your questions answered!

Upcoming Large Service Events
AED requires general members to attend 3 Large Service Events each semester! If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to Ada (ada_khoja1@baylor.edu).
1 Large Service Event can be “carried in” from another organization per semester, and 1 Large Service Event can be a “pay for credit” opportunity. Additionally, Loaves of Love and Goodness with Genesis can only count for 1 LSE.
Please check the Master Spreadsheet, and reach out to Ada if there are any discrepancies in service credits!

Join us at our Diaper Wrapping event next week on Thursday, November 13th from 6:30 - 8:30 PM. We will be hosting an LSE for AED members with the McLennan County Diaper Collective to wrap and package all the diapers that we have collected for distribution.

Help set-up and takedown at the annual Pre-Health Gala on Friday, November, 14th. Volunteers must help with both set-up and takedown to receive an LSE credit.
Set-up times are from 3:00 PM - 5:00 PM or 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM and Takedown time are from 10:00 PM - 11:00 PM.

Goodness with Genesis will be holding an LSE on November 13th at Earle Hall from 7:30 - 8:30 PM.
Volunteers will be making cards for patients at the Dallas Children’s Hospital. Sign-ups are limited. Fill out this form to register. Reach out to aadi_sharma1@baylor.edu if you have questions.
Goodness with Genesis can only count for one of your LSE credits.

Loaves of Love will be happening biweekly on the following Fridays: 11/14, 12/5 in Earle Classroom from 5:00 - 6:00 PM.

We will be hosting a card-making event to show our appreciation for the nurses at Ascension Providence! Join us in expressing our gratitude for these amazing healthcare workers on Monday, November 17th, from 7:00 PM - 8:30 PM (Location TBD).

Pay for Credit LSE (10/27-11/13)
We are helping McLennan County Diaper Collective host a drive for diapers these next two weeks. There is no government assistance for diapers, so MCDC is a non-profit in Waco that aims to fill this gap and runs solely on donations. To earn an LSE credit, please bring a package of diapers (any size; at least 100 diapers) to GM 5 (11/12).
Diapers should be HEB/Walmart brand (does not have to be name-brand diapers)
Please do not purchase pull-ups, just regular diapers
Diapers run in sizes from newborn to 7
Please reach out to Ada at ada_khoja1@baylor.edu if you are not able to drop off the diapers at the next two general meetings! Keep in mind that Pay-for-Credit LSEs can only count for only 1 LSE credit.
AED X MSO Summer Mission Trip
AED and MSO will be going on a joint Mission Trip next year to Cape Town, South Africa and partnering with One More Child and Living Hope! More information can be found on the application link and our upcoming interest meetings (see below).
