Important Membership Updates!
From the Spring 2025 semester on, AED will now be requiring all general members to complete two scholarship credits. All other general member requirements will remain the same. With a variety of events and opportunities available, we hope that this new requirement aims will enhance member engagement and support the continued growth and success of the organization. Fall 2025 New Member Class!
Forms and Deadlines:
General Membership Form is due 10/01 after the 2nd GM at 11:59pm. It is REQUIRED FOR ALL GENERAL MEMBERS!
Fill out the Enzyme Interest Form by Wednesday and complete your intro slide (included on the form) by Thursday 5pm!!
Be sure to review the Master Spreadsheet periodically throughout the semester for your credits. Email sahil_billakanti1@baylor.edu if you have any questions!
General Meeting Dates:
Our general meetings this semester will be from 7:30-8:30pm on 9/17, 10/1, 10/15, 10/29, 11/12, & 12/3! Go ahead and plan on putting those on your calendar so you can meet the GM requirement.
Our first meeting will be in Foster 240!

Intramurals:
AED Intramurals are beginning and interest forms for Ultimate Frisbee and Flag Football are out! Please fill these out by Friday, Sep 19th if you’re wanting to participate in either IM sport and fulfill ⅔ social credits for the semester. Text Tyler (630) 346-9545 with any questions!
Scholarly Events
AED x ASDA Interview Workshop: Have an interview coming up and want to practice before the big day? Well come to the AED x ASDA Interview Workshop on Wednesday, 9/24 at 6:00 - 7:30 pm in Cashion (room TBD) to hear from Dr. Kellaway, the Associate Dean of admissions at Long School of Medicine, to hear tips and tricks to knock your next interview out of the park! After her presentation, we will have mock interviews with juniors and seniors to hone your skills, giving you a competitive edge as an applicant. Attendees will earn 1 scholarship credit.

Upcoming Large Service Events
AED requires general members to attend 3 Large Service Events each semester! If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to Ada (ada_khoja1@baylor.edu).
1 Large Service Event can be “carried in” from another organization per semester, and 1 Large Service Event can be a “pay for credit” opportunity.
Please check the Master Spreadsheet, and reach out to Lexi if there are any discrepancies in service credits!

The Salvation Army LSE will has moved to Saturday, September 27th from 9:30 - 11:30 AM. Volunteers will be helping out at the thrift store. Sign-ups are limited. Fill out this form to register. Reach out to brahmi_prayaga1@baylor.edu if you have questions.

Goodness with Genesis will be holding an LSE on September 18th at Earle Hall from 7:30 - 8:30 PM. Volunteers will be making cards for patients at the Dallas Children’s Hospital. Sign-ups are limited.Fill out this form to register. Reach out to aadi_sharma1@baylor.edu if you have questions.

The Medical Service Organization is hosting an exciting TedTalk-style speaker event featuring student speakers on Friday, October 3rd from 6:00 - 8:30 pm in Foster 240. Speakers compete to win a $1000 scholarship, and the last day to sign up to speak is September 17th.
