Important Membership Updates!
From the Spring 2025 semester on, AED will now be requiring all general members to complete two scholarship credits. All other general member requirements will remain the same. With a variety of events and opportunities available, we hope that this new requirement aims will enhance member engagement and support the continued growth and success of the organization. General Membership Form is due 10/01 after the 2nd GM at 11:59pm. It is REQUIRED FOR ALL GENERAL MEMBERS!-(Please fill it out if you haven’t!)

General Meeting Dates:
Our general meetings this semester will be from 7:30-8:30pm on 9/17, 10/1, 10/15, 10/29, 11/12, & 12/3! Go ahead and plan on putting those on your calendar so you can meet the GM requirement.

Intramurals:
If you are at all interested in Flag Football, please fill out the interest form so we can get a team going! Stay on the lookout for more interest forms in the future if you would like to participate in IM’s and fulfill ⅔ social credits for the semester. Text Tyler (630) 346-9545 with any questions!

OneHealth and Ecotourism Talk with Dr. Muehlenbein
Come join us on October 7th at 6:00 pm - 7:00 over zoom to listen to Dr. Muehlenbein give a lecture on OneHealth, Ecotourism, and medical anthropology! Dr. M leads many health related projects, and is the faculty lead for Health research Baylor in the Galapagos study abroad program! Attendees earn one scholarship credit!

Healthcare Employment Workshop:
Join us on October 8th from 6:00 - 7:00 pm in BSB C105 to learn about certificate-level jobs in healthcare! We will start with a presentation from an AMCA representative about the process of earning certifications through their programs. There will also be a panel of Baylor students who will speak about their experiences obtaining and working with their certifications! Attendees will earn one scholarship credit!

Upcoming Large Service Events
AED requires general members to attend 3 Large Service Events each semester! If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to Ada (ada_khoja1@baylor.edu).
1 Large Service Event can be “carried in” from another organization per semester, and 1 Large Service Event can be a “pay for credit” opportunity. Additionally, Loaves of Love and Goodness with Genesis can only count for 1 LSE.
Please check the Master Spreadsheet, and reach out to Ada if there are any discrepancies in service credits!

Steppin’ Out is one of our biggest service opportunities of the semester so come join AED on October 18th to volunteer around the community (time will be from 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM or 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM)!

AED X MSO Summer Mission Trip
AED and MSO will be going on a joint Mission Trip next year to Cape Town, South Africa and partnering with One More Child and Living Hope! More information can be found on the application link and our upcoming interest meetings (see below).
