Important Membership Updates!
From the Spring 2025 semester on, AED will now be requiring all general members to complete two scholarship credits. All other general member requirements will remain the same. With a variety of events and opportunities available, we hope that this new requirement aims will enhance member engagement and support the continued growth and success of the organization. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out to the Executive Board!

General Meeting Dates:
Our general meetings this semester will be from 7:30-8:30pm on 9/17, 10/1, 10/15, 10/29, 11/12, & 12/3! Go ahead and plan on putting those on your calendar so you can meet the GM requirement.

Upcoming Large Service Events
AED requires general members to attend 3 Large Service Events each semester! If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to Ada (ada_khoja1@baylor.edu).
1 Large Service Event can be “carried in” from another organization per semester, and 1 Large Service Event can be a “pay for credit” opportunity. Additionally, Loaves of Love and Goodness with Genesis can only count for 1 LSE.
Please check the Master Spreadsheet, and reach out to Ada if there are any discrepancies in service credits!

Goodness with Genesis will be holding an LSE on October 16th at Earle Hall from 7:30 - 8:30 PM.
Volunteers will be making cards for patients at the Dallas Children’s Hospital. Sign-ups are limited. Fill out this form to register. Reach out to aadi_sharma1@baylor.edu if you have questions.
Goodness with Genesis can only count for one of your LSE credits.

World Hunger Relief Farm will be holding an LSE this Friday (10/17) from 2:00 PM - 5:00 PM. Volunteers will be working hands-on to assist the farm stuff with various activities, including pulling weeds, sifting compost, caring for livestock, and more!

Loaves of Love will be happening biweekly on the following Friday’s: 10/17, 10/31, 11/14, 12/5 in Earle Classroom from 5:00 - 6:00 PM.

Bluebonnet Hospice will be hosting two Trunk-or-Treat events at some of its nursing facilities where they have patients. They are looking for volunteers to help out! Volunteers can attend on Tuesday 10/21 from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM and/or Tuesday 10/28 from 2:30 PM - 4:30 PM.

Shepherd’s Heart will be hosting an LSE on Saturday 10/25 from 9:30 AM - 10:30 AM at the Waco Health Department. Volunteers will be working at the Mobile Food Pantry to help package food and resources for distribution to the local Waco community.

AED X MSO Summer Mission Trip
AED and MSO will be going on a joint Mission Trip next year to Cape Town, South Africa and partnering with One More Child and Living Hope! More information can be found on the application link and our upcoming interest meetings (see below).
