Our general meetings this semester will be from 7:30-8:30pm on 2/4, 2/18, 3/4, 3/25, 4/8, 4/22! Go ahead and plan on putting those on your calendar so you can meet the GM requirement. All meetings will be in BSB D110!

Interested in tropical medicine, global health, or vaccine development? Join us for a talk with Dr. Jennifer Clinton, Assistant Professor of Pediatrics and Tropical Medicine at Baylor College of Medicine. Dr. Clinton will discuss global health challenges and introduce research opportunities through BCM’s National School of Tropical Medicine, including the Tropical Diseases Research Internship Program (TDRIP); a nine-week, hands-on research experience at the Texas Medical Center in Houston. Attend to earn 1 scholarship credit

Service
Weekly Service Form: It’s time to fill out the signup sheet with your two top choices for weekly service! The deadline for the signup form has been extended to Wednesday, February 4th at 11:59 PM.
This form is required if you plan on being active this semester. To remain active, members will need to serve 10 hours at their respective volunteer site
New Opportunity!!! Volunteer as an EMT with West EMS. More information can be found in the Weekly Service Form.
Clinical Service Opportunities: If you are volunteering with one of these opportunities, you do not need to fill out the Weekly Service Signup Form. Please make sure to email your respective chair to notify them of your intent to volunteer. More information can be found in the Clinical Weekly Email sent on January 4th.
Ascension Providence: If you applied to Ascension Providence or are a returning volunteer, please email Hana_Jang1@baylor.edu.

AED requires general members to attend 3 Large Service Events each semester! If you have any questions or concerns, please reach out to Ada (ada_khoja1@baylor.edu).
1 Large Service Event can be a “pay for credit” opportunity. Additionally, Loaves of Love and Goodness with Genesis can only count for 1 LSE.
Please check the Master Spreadsheet, and reach out to Ada if there are any discrepancies in service credits!

Goodness with Genesis will be holding an LSE on February 5th at Earle Hall from 7:30 - 8:30 PM.
Volunteers will be making cards for patients at the Dallas Children’s Hospital. Sign-ups are limited. Fill out this form to register. Reach out to aadi_sharma1@baylor.edu if you have questions.

Loaves of Love will be happening biweekly on the following Fridays: 2/6, 2/20, 2/27, 3/27, 4/10, 4/24 in Earle Classroom from 5:00 - 6:00 PM.

AED Application Interviews
New Member Interviews will be held on 2/5 from 5pm - 8pm and 2/6 from 5pm - 8pm. Use this link to sign up!
